Data Driven and Model Based Computational Futures in Cardiovascular Practice - A call for papers with Frontiers in Cardiovascular Medicine

Manuscript submission is now open for a new article collection we are co-editing called “Data Driven and Model Based Computational Futures in Cardiovascular Practice” with Frontiers in Cardiovascular Medicine (Impact Factor 5.846, CiteScore 8.2) - and we wanted you to be among the first to know.
The collection aims to bring together the latest quality articles on the strengths and weaknesses of both data-driven and model-based approaches, in a scientific domain with huge clinical and humanitarian impact. We hope to focus on the state of the art and adjacent futures of diagnoses, forecasting, and personalization of interventions in cardiovascular medicine. We especially wish to receive submissions by authors invested in bridging the two worlds to ensure that the best of each is at the service of patients, caregivers and the healthcare system. As an expert in the field and given your previous publications, we feel your research would strengthen the collection.
We welcome clinical trials, hypothesis & theory and original research articles. Case reports are invited, especially around near-miss/failures and dealing with ethical pitfalls, but will also be considered when proposing evidence directly relevant to future developments. Technology & code will be considered when particularly novel or of great potential impact in cardiovascular medicine. Policy & practice reviews may also be considered if authorship involves large communities or relevant political or supragovernmental Institutions.
Frontiers in Cardiovascular Medicine’s average review time from submission to final decision is 67 days. All accepted papers will be published Open Access and made available to the community immediately upon acceptance - they are also indexed in PubMed.
The deadline for manuscript submissions is 7 December 2022, but we can accommodate extensions on a case-by-case basis. If you would like some feedback on your manuscript’s suitability - please submit a preliminary abstract by 7 October.
