Telemedicine and Health Simulation Technologies

On Tuesday the 4th of April 2023 our President, Dr Marco Manca, will intervene at the BeEmTel  2nd Multiplier Event The event, entitled "Beyond the Emergency. Telecare for Non-Communicable Diseases through Simulation" is part of a  training initiative aimed to broaden the pedagogical horizons of medical simulation in long-term care contexts for patients with chronic diseases. Dr Manca will talk at 10h50 (CEST) about " The digital step-up of healthcare: from reactive care to predictive & personalized medicine ". You can consult the full program here The video is available here (go to 1h41min11sec) Dr Manca' slides are available here

International Bologna Consensus Assembly on Telemedicine - the 72h after...

We are back from the  International Bologna Consensus Assembly on Telemedicine "Ratio Ethica et Ratio Technica: Concerting Governance, Research and Innovation for One Health" promoted by the Italian Society of Telemedicine , our partners in ISOMERISM ... and it took us 72 hours to digest everything that happened, to mentally replay all the conversations...  We were clearly deeply invested in the event from its design, so we admit a bias to the statement we are going to share, and it's left to the reader to decide to trust us or to believe we are offering a hyperbole: this event will be remembered as a pivotal moment by the Italian medical community, as the dawn of a new European movement to bring together technical and ethical reasoning by parties of civil society that much can and should contribute to the trajectory of our citizens and fellow humans' experiences in a future never more uncertain than it looks today.  We were at the meeting representing several initia...

Come to Bologna (Italy) with us on March 11th 2023, and discover BioDynaMo

SCImPULSE Foundation will be present at the International Bologna Consensus Assembly on Telemedicine on March 11th 2023 SCImPULSE Foundation will bring  BioDynaMo (the opensource environment to easily create, run, and visualise 3D agent-based simulations) to the International Bologna Consensus Assembly , by offering a satellite workshop about the state of the art computational simulations applied to healthcare scenario, with partners University of Surrey and University of Cyprus . The program of the workshop is BioDynaMo - building the future today. Learning how to improve diagnosis of, and think about, human diseases with computational models. (15min) Roman Bauer. University of Surrey (UK) - Spokesperson of BioDynaMo   BioDynaMo, a high performance suite to apply agent based simulations to real world challenges. (15min) Vasileios Vavourakis. University of Cyprus (CY) - Technical Coordinator of BioDynaMo   Practices at the edge of learning from data and reasoni...
